Flanked on both sides, the house is positioned along the street on a strip parcel, characteristic of the former rural vineyards of the 19th century, where buildings developed along existing roads, leaving large, vegetated inner courtyards unoccupied.

To establish a privileged connection with the garden, the living spaces, initially planned on the upper floor, are relocated to the ground floor while maintaining alignment with neighboring buildings. A patio is created, taking into account the existing tree and urban planning regulations, allowing natural light to enter the living room. Visual perspectives toward the garden are enhanced by large sliding glass doors, giving the impression of “living in the garden.”

The choice of materials and construction methods follows a cost-effective and environmentally conscious approach. A post-and-beam structure in mass-tinted concrete is favored, serving both as a structural and finishing material. The side façades are built with hollow concrete blocks, reducing the project's carbon footprint.

The floors consist of insulated beam-and-block slabs, ensuring enhanced thermal insulation. The façades naturally evolve over time—the concrete lightens in dry weather and darkens when humid, creating a dynamic and living appearance. Text description by the architects.
