Vista al Río is an 8-home single-family home development located within Rancho Avándaro Country Club in Valle de Bravo.

Surrounded by the imposing pine and ash forest of Rancho Avándaro, which borders a natural river in front, we can hear the flow of the river and its turbulence, generating an atmosphere of sounds, peace and harmony that invites you to contemplate the views and connect with the nature of the place.

The project was built in one of the most rugged lots in the entire subdivision, which represented an architectural, urban and engineering challenge.

The land, relatively simple in plan, has a minimum slope of 33% and a maximum of 55%, having a maximum difference in height of 35m from the highest point to the lowest point of the property, so alloting, projecting 8 houses, and designing the road to reach each of them, was a challenge.

That's why the design team decided to use this to their advantage, staggering the homes and giving each of them a spectacular and unique view.

From the beginning, due to the conditions of the land, the main design objective for each of the houses was to enhance the views of the forest from each of the spaces through large terraces and windows up to 12m long.

Following the complicated topography and descending contour lines of the terrain in its natural state, large reinforced concrete retaining walls, up to 8m high, were used to generate a comfortable and functional access.

By means of the roadway, it was sought to develop a fluid and organic distribution of lots, managing to locate the houses in such a way that no house overshadowed the other, and that all could have a free and private view of the forest despite being inside a condominium.
