INTRODUCTION: The harmonious combination of lines, volumes, and colours is at the heart of Daniele Nucciarelli's approach to bringing any space to life. Driven by passion and inspiration, he expertly translates his clients' ideas into cohesive designs that meet their tastes and needs.
Every project starts at the site. That’s where the magic happens, and his vision takes shape. His strive for excellence and continuous improvement compel him to explore each project's endless possibilities. Though not an architect, his work is closely intertwined with the architectural world, where he feels at ease.
Daniele, 38, works from his 33 sq.m studio in Perugia, Central Italy, and describes himself as both an aesthete and a perfectionist.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: CASA PELLAS is a small renovated apartment of 62 sq.m located in Art Nouveau building in the historic centre of Perugia. A classic revisited from a modern perspective. I started from an idea in which the use of colour can be juxtaposed with classical form while maintaining balance and harmony. On the floor, a timeless natural oak French herringbone; instead, vertical rising volumes in pastel tones such as ocean blue, brick red and leather give colour and elegance to the room while defining the space.
A load-bearing wall was removed to create a full-height opening leading into a contained dining room communicating with the living room, where the protagonist is ‘necessary’: a handcrafted table in custom-made Portuguese pink marble. The project presents a logical thread in which the eye perceives a succession of colours, finishes and textures that are often repeated in every room. Form and personality in this flat are complemented by artworks with important dimensions and lighting points that range from the iconic to the technical while always maintaining their balance.
