The architectural proposal for the new office of One Trust, a leader in digital security, stands out for its materiality and functionality.
The open space, only interrupted by the reticular distribution of the columns, is structured around a central piece that acts as an epicentre, housing all the essential common areas: from meeting rooms and telephone booths to offices and warehouses. A larger circular element stands out, which becomes a large central Agora for holding events or simply as an area for collaboration or informal meetings. This space has its main focus on its geometry and on the section of the ceiling, which becomes curved on its sides and is backlit around the entire perimeter to bathe the walls, giving a sensation of levitation. In the central part, the existing lighting fixtures in the building have been reused, placing them radially in the central area, emphasizing this part. In addition, a large step is attached to the entire perimeter at two heights. The anteroom to this space is a large wooden box that serves as the general access to the office and also houses uses such as storage and support areas for the large space of the Agora.
The work areas are strategically placed in the areas with the most light on the floor to promote well-being at work and concentration. In addition, they are intertwined with collaborative work areas, meeting rooms, and relaxation areas, thus avoiding an excessively continuous and monotonous open space.
Neutral tones and noble materials, such as wood or stone, have been used to materialize them. To highlight the central pieces, they have been covered around their perimeter with a small-format, tone-shifted ceramic.
The furniture also becomes a fundamental piece of the project, using neutral and warm tones to promote concentration and relaxation. Text description by the architects.
