Maison À Montreuil

Montreuil, France | 2021
[Depeyre Morand architectures]

The project includes the conversion of a workshop space into a house in Montreuil. The existing space was composed of two sheds which were naturally divided by a central beam. We decided to divide it into two spaces, one becoming an isolated living area comprising a mezzanine and an office, the other an extension as a winter Garden.

A tiled and largely glazed facade separates the two spaces and offers diversity in the different routes. The patio is left raw and sanitized with a lime wash. A bathtub is installed. A last division of space has been achieved by working with curtains designed by Flore Fockedey, creating intimacy for some and for others to obscure. Text description by the architects.
