Orta Store

Brussels, Belgium | 2022
[Rond Carré Studio]

For its first flagship store in the heart of the capital Brussels, Belgium, the brand Orta Store asked Rond Carré Studio, a creative design duo and married couple formed by Jade Vijt and O'nonto Zaman (providing interior design, graphic identity and scenography) to create a unique interior that stands out from the competition, in which customers feel at ease and have a reference to the city of Brussels.

All this in a very short period of time of 3 months, including construction. The design creates a unique atmosphere, Rond Carré Studio proposed a color gradient that starts with a light, neutral shade and ends with a reference to the color of the bricks that characterize the architecture of Brussels houses.

In a sleek and contemporary design, the space, like a hallway, required the addition of curves in order to be able to walk around at ease and delimit the different collections of the brand.

All the furniture was custom made in Belgium. The paintings and lighting fixtures were chosen for their Belgian origins. As for the materials, they opted for an epoxy resin floor, woodwork painted in 5 shades, sometimes in slats to give relief, and small travertines decorate the counter desk. Finally, in the fitting room area at the back of the store, marked by a curved wall, the solid color gives the impression of being in a box and offers a unique sensation to customers.
